Saw a vine with these exploded spiney pods all over it near the estuary at Playa Grande. Turns out it is a Gray Nickernut.

Baby Leatherback Turtle. This guy was maybe 4 inches long? Will do a lot of growing. Leatherbacks are the largest sea turtles.
